One of my favorite childhood ice cream flavors in the world is Superman ice cream. I didn’t know until I started traveling that this tasty treat was indigenous to Michigan, just like Vernors soda, Faygo soda and euchre.

Superman ice cream is made up of three colors, red, yellow and blue, just like Superman’s cape. Some people say it’s just vanilla ice cream with food coloring, others think it’s Blue Moon, banana and a raspberry or cherry. The Meijer brand version of Superman ice cream is a mixture of vanilla, blue moon, and black cherry ice creams.

This little Mystery is going to be fun to solve this summer!
