Tropic Thunder, was more like Tropic Blunder. I went to see this Ben Stiller vanity project last night with the boyfriend & our friend Pat. We had greatly anticipated the release of this film and went on opening night.

The movie starring Ben Stiller, Robert Downy Jr., Jack Black, and Tom Cruise has an all star cast. This is a dream cast, how can these guys not be funny? It's a spoof on actors, the industry, and comedy. A group of pampered actors trying to make a Vietnam movie are dropped into a combat zone and told they are secretly being filmed.

Most of the funny parts were shown in the commercials and trailers. Several funny scenes in the trailers weren't even in the film. The part where Simple Jack says, "You ma ma make my pee pee tingle" wasn't even in the movie and the part were Ben Stiller is bound and slams his feet into a man with a guy and tells him he leaned into it weren't even in the film.

This was a HUGE flop. Ben Stiller acted in this, directed it, produced it, and I am sure sewed all the costumes for it.
